XpertVision introduces GeForce 8800 GT 'Sonic'
The Taiwanese graphics card manufacturer XpertVision, also known in this country under the name Palit, has presented an overclocking model of the GeForce 8800 GT. This 8800 GT bears the suffix 'Sonic' and should make overclocking attempts easier thanks to the 3-phase power supply and its own cooler design.
While a GeForce 8800 GT in the reference layout provides the power supply over two phases, it is with the 8800 GT Sonic three phases, which can work cooler and more stable. In combination with an improved cooling, this should lead to better overclockability and at the same time quieter operation of the graphics card compared to reference models.
The graphics card works with 650 MHz chip , 1625 MHz shader and 1900 MHz effective memory clock (Nvidia standard: 600 MHz GPU, 1512 MHz shader, 1800 MHz memory). The scope of delivery includes an adapter to HDMI (without audio signal) and an S-video cable. The recommended retail price including VAT is 249 euros. The availability of this GeForce 8800 GT model is currently poor.
