Windows XP learns USB 2.0

Long before the Windows XP operating system was released, there had been countless debates, announcements and speculations about the integrated interfaces. USB 2.0, FireWire or Bluetooth? Nobody really knew what Microsoft was planning internally.

After it was first bad for the second revision of the USB interface looked like, Microsoft published BETA drivers before the Windows release, but version MS Beta 2 expired on October 24, 2001, one day before the start of sales. And as if one had come to the decision to clandestinely discontinue the project, nothing was heard far and wide from the implementation of USB 2.0 until yesterday. So it came as a surprise to many when at least Intel put the final version of the driver online yesterday. Drivers for Windows 2000 will appear at a later date, but not with Service Pack 3. Owners of Windows9x remain empty. Microsoft will only officially present the drivers in the coming days and only then offer them for download on their own pages
