Windows XP definitely with USB 2.0 support

As part of the USB 2.0 developer conference in Beverly Hills, Microsoft once again emphasized that Windows XP will definitely support this interface. In order to finally end the speculation about USB support, Microsoft demonstrated the functioning driver support for USB 2.0 in the joint successor to Windows 2000 and Windows Me at this conference.

Some time ago there were reports the round that Windows XP will not offer either Bluetooth or USB 2.0 support, as they supposedly wanted to concentrate fully on Firewire support.
