Windows XP arrives on October 25th

Microsoft officially announced today, after so many rumors, that Windows XP will be available in Germany from October 25, 2001. This means that the official date is even a few days earlier than the initial rumors announced.

Microsoft says it wants to launch the largest Windows marketing initiative in the company's history with the introduction of Windows XP. Accordingly, the investments in the first four months of the product launch should be twice as high as the total expenditure for the Windows 95 introduction. Further information on the two Windows XP versions, Home Edition and Professional Edition, as well as a countdown can be found here.
