Windows XP ad campaign is changing
Windows XP will be available in retail outlets in two weeks. A few days beforehand, an advertising campaign with the slogan “Prepare To Fly” should be started. Microsoft has now decided to replace the advertising slogan with 'Yes You Can'.
Head of Marketing for Windows Products at Microsoft, Stephanie Ferguson, said on Thursday in Redmond that the original slogan was after the bad Terrorist attacks of September 11th could no longer be held. The advertising campaign is to start next Monday with a 15-second spot in the evening television program. The highlight of the whole campaign will be a Windows XP launch ceremony on October 25th in New York. Microsoft intends to spend $ 200 million (DM 450 million) on the entire advertising campaign within four months.
