Windows Whistler integrates digital television

Microsoft announced today that the successor to Windows Me and Windows 2000, alias Windows Codename Whistler, which is currently in the development stage, will be equipped with functions for digital television.

This is called Microsoft TV Function should thus be able to transform the computer into a set-top box, for example. Next Friday, a beta version of Windows Whistler, which is due to come onto the market in the second half of 2001, along with the official plans, will be presented at a congress in Amsterdam.
