Whistler Beta2 is delayed
Once again, Microsoft can't keep its deadlines. The Beta2 version of the new Windows.net (Whistler) operating system originally planned for December 6th has been delayed to the beginning of 2001, which could affect the subsequent dates for RC1 and RC2 and of course the final as well.
Since Microsoft is known for trying to meet the deadlines anyway, it is becoming increasingly difficult for the testers to extensively test the new system. The German testers in particular will be under time pressure towards the end, because while the final is already in their hands in America, the German version has not yet been finally localized.
