VIA introduces P4X266E with FSB533 support
After VIA presented the P4X333 with support for the new Pentium 4 (FSB533) last week, a slightly modified version of the P4X266A is now entering the race, which can also shine with this support, but with the memory on PC266 modules The P4X266E is the successor to the P4X266A chipset and has a new, improved design and a revised memory controller. Various VIA solutions are available as Southbridges. On the one hand there is the new VT8235, which offers USB 2.0 support for the first time, or the somewhat older and cheaper VT8233A. However, since the license disputes over the Pentium 4 bus between Intel and VIA are still not settled, this chipset will only be used on VIA's own mainboards ( VIAVPSD ).
