VIA: C3 with 1 GHz?
It seems that VIA has come up with something special for exceeding the 1 gigahertz limit. Contrary to the competition, which keeps the CPU name and only increases the clock rate, VIAs 1 GHz C3 gets its own name, which is supposed to be 1Giga Pro.
In Japan, a mainboard appeared with the aforementioned processor was firmly soldered. According to the mainboard manual, this processor is based on the Samuel 2 core, but it was only produced up to 800 MHz. He was later replaced by the Ezra. However, the 1 GHz Ezra has not yet been officially confirmed. But it wasn't until the middle of December that the clock was increased to 933 MHz, which could make it possible to increase it again to 1 GHz. However, it is not yet known to what extent these reports are correct. Only an official press release from VIA will provide clarity.
