Updated Mozilla Roadmap
The Mozilla development team today published a roadmap that has been revised in many ways. What some are now certain to fear will in all probability not happen, because Mozilla 1.0 should appear in April even after the new roadmap.
The fact that there is still a question mark in the 'Ideal Release' for the final version is again skeptical, especially because the date originally set for the beginning of April tends towards the middle to the end of April, also according to the diagram. The 0.98 Milestone, which recently appeared 10 days late, has shown that this date can still be shaken. After Mozilla 1.0 will be published, bugfix versions in the form 1.0.x will be offered for download at ever increasing intervals of initially 4 weeks. At the same time, the development of Mozilla 1.1 is to begin, which after an alpha and beta version should finally be completed in early July. 30 days later, the first alpha of Mozilla 1.2 should be available for download.
