Two new printers from Canon
Canon has introduced two new models in its printer family. On the one hand, there is the BJC-55 inkjet printer, whose area of application can be found in the mobile sector due to its compact design and low weight of only 900 grams
Since the printer itself is only about half as large as is a DIN A4 page, there is room for it even in a briefcase. The lithium-ion battery is sufficient to print around 100 pages, printing up to 5.5 pages per minute in black and white mode and up to two pages in color mode. Additional accessories are optionally available. A USB port and an infrared interface for wireless printing are available for communication. Due to its special field of activity, the price is accordingly high at 749 DM recommended retail price. The Canon BJC-55 should be available from the beginning of November.
The new color laser CLBP lets you explore other spheres 400 before. Canon places this new printer in the range of small and medium-sized companies such as agencies, banks or graphic studios. This suggests the recommended retail price of DM 6000, which does not yet include an Ethernet card, which also costs around DM 750. For this, the user is rewarded with a print volume of four color pages and 16 black and white pages per minute, which can be put on paper with up to 2400x600 dpi. This should be made possible by the printer language CPDL (Dynamic Load Balance Printing) developed by Canon. The Canon CLBP 400 is still waiting with some goodies and optional accessories and should also be available from November.
