Two new MMS cards from Matrox
Matrox introduces two new graphics cards for multi-monitor applications. The PCI graphics cards 'G450 X2' and 'G450 X4' support two or four monitors. Each display is assigned its own memory area and an extra memory chip. A maximum of four of these graphics cards can be installed on a mainboard.
This allows 16 monitors to be addressed under Windows NT. With Windows 2000 or Windows XP, however, only a maximum of 10 monitors are possible at the same time. The first copies of the new graphics cards from Matrox should be available around the second quarter of 2002.
