Top 10 list of chip manufacturers

As every year, there is again the top 10 list of the largest chip manufacturers in the world, based on sales in 2001. A lot has happened in the list due to the crisis last year and AMD is in the list for the first time Top 10 climbed up.

The table shows the losses that chip manufacturers suffered in 2001 and how this affects the distribution of places. Intel can continue to defend first place, but still has a loss of 22 percent that is twice as high as AMD, which rose from 16th to 10th place.
