Three new Mobile Pentium 4 processors
Just yesterday, Intel significantly reduced the prices for the Mobile Pentium III and thus virtually initiated a warehouse clearance. Today Intel presented its Pentium 4 processor for notebooks with new speeds. Models with 1.8, 1.5 and 1.4 GHz are now available.
Like all Pentium 4 processors for notebooks, those presented today also have a special power-saving technology (Speedstep), which adapts the performance to the respective requirements . The energy-saving mode Deeper Sleep Alert State also contributes to this. The processor's energy consumption is minimized when it is inactive, even within the microseconds between two keystrokes.
When purchasing 1,000 units, the Pentium 4-M with 1.8, 1.5 and 1.4 GHz costs $ 637, $ 268 and 198 dollars.
In particular, the Pentium4-M with 1.5 GHz seems to offer the best price-performance ratio compared to the other models. The 1.6 GHz Mobell, on the other hand, is already 140 US dollars more expensive.
