Thoroughbred probably not until June
As it became known from inside sources, the new AMD Thoroughbred should not be available until June. Mainboard manufacturers have already received the first details of the new processor. As already confirmed by AMD, the Thoroughbred remains compatible with the current Socket A format.
According to this, the first Thoroughbred manufactured in 0.13 micron will not have a higher FSB, but just as much L2 cache as the current XP , namely 256 KByte. AMD will start with the 2400+, and rumors have it that processors with the type designation 2000+ and 2200+ will follow later. These Thoroughbreds should be clocked with 1.667 GHz and 1.8 GHz.
