The successor to Napster

The successor to Napster

Since Napster can no longer be used to 'nap' free of charge, other file sharing sites have become more and more popular. Above all the programs Grokster, Kazaa and Morpheus, which are based on the peer-to-peer method of the Dutch company FastTrack.

As the US American market research center Webnoiz determined, the number of those in October via Grokster , Kazaa and Morpheus exchanged data increased by more than 20 percent compared to the previous month to over 1.8 billion. If this trend continues, this month, for the first time, more swaps will take place via FastTrack than ever in the prime of Napster. According to Webnoiz, the number of users of file sharing platforms has increased by 480 percent since Napster closed in July this year. The Napster successors not only exchange music, entire films, episodes of new series or software are available at the 'Exchange Bazaar'.
