The release of the Windows ME final version is getting closer
Yesterday was the release date of the second Release Candidate of the successor to Windows 98. This updates the Release Candidate 0, which was released for beta testers 14 days ago and is therefore the current pre-release version of Windows ME.
By this update aims to fix the last critical bugs. A new version of the media player and various new drivers are included. Due to the rapid succession of test versions, Microsoft's goal seems to be to put Windows ME into production in June, resulting in the first availability of the operating system in July.
