The Q3 benchmark should help DDR-RAM achieve a breakthrough
VIA would like to help its DDR chipsets achieve a breakthrough and is now advertising a Q3 benchmark specially designed for DDR SDRAM. The benchmark is to be shown for the first time at Computex in Taiwan on June 4th and will bring the performance of the VIA DDR chipsets for AMD and Intel CPUs in connection with DDR_SDRAM to the fore.
This should be high-end PCs with VIA KT266 and VIA Apollo Pro 266 chipsets are used. VIA would like to use the Q3 map played as a reference benchmark in the future. If you are curious what a Q3 map specially designed for DDR RAM looks like, you can download the 3.82 MB map here.
