Our colleagues from HardTecs4U have put together the plans for EPoX's future mainboards for AMD and Intel processors. In both cases, the product range is quite diverse, as has been the case with EPoX, so that there is something for every market segment.
The following table shows the plans for EPoX 'mainboards for AMD processors:
Between the fourth quarter of 2002 and the first quarter of 2003, the first boards for AMD's hammer should also be ready. So far, however, no details about these motherboards have leaked to the public. EPoX will, however, offer boards with VIA, AMD and Nvidia chipsets, so that the customer will again be spoiled for choice.
In the following table, we now focus entirely on EPoX motherboards for Intel's Pentium4 processor:
In addition, the EP-4GBA/+ will probably come onto the market, which is based on the i70205 chipset, has dual DDR266 and is designed for Intel's server processor, the Xeon. In the first quarter of 2003, mainboards with the Springdale will also appear, which will then support Intel's Prescott Socket 478 Hyper-Threading CPU. You can find out more about Springdale here .
