The Kryo II is on the rise
The architecture of the Kryo announced by STMicroelectronics and the newly introduced Kryo II is attracting increasing attention from the major graphics card manufacturers. Not only does the Kryo 2 beat a graphics card equipped with nVidia GeForce 2MX in almost all respects and also excellently keep up with the nVidia GeForce2 and the ATi Radeon in certain benchmark environments, no, its price is also below that of nVidia for the Low Cost Markt designed the GeForce 2MX chip.
It is clear that the manufacturers of graphics cards in particular are listening carefully and so after Hercules with the Prophet 4500 and VidioLogic, other companies are also considering the introduction of Kryo 2 based graphics card series. MSI and InnoVISION, among others, are being discussed here, while PowerColor's products are already finished and Creative Labs are currently rumored to be promising good things. The German graphics card manufacturer ELSA, on the other hand, was reported to have no interest in cryo-based graphics cards.
