The GeForce 2 Ultra is late

The graphics cards with GeForce 2 Ultra Chip from Nvidia announced for September, as can easily be seen on the dealers' shelves, are postponed by another two weeks. The reason for the delay can be found in the memory components, since DDR-SDRAM modules with a clock frequency of 460MHz, which are used with the GeForce 2 Ultra, are almost not available on the market.

Other memory modules would only slow down the 3D chip, so that the first Ultra cards can now be expected towards the end of October or the beginning of November.

The price of the 64MB equipped boards varies between 1,000 and 1,200 DM.
