The fastest database server from MS
With the SQL Server 2000, Microsoft occupies 1st place on the top 10 list of the fastest databases in the world. In a benchmark based on the TPC-C specification on a cluster of Compaq ProLiant 8500-700 systems with a total of 192 CPUs, it delivered a result almost 15 percent better than the next slower competitor from IBM.
With the DB2 under Windows 2000 on a Netfinity 8500R server cluster with a total of 128 processors, this occupied place number 2. If you are interested in the topic, you should have a look around here.
