Telekom continues to expand ADSL
Telekom has big plans with ADSL, which is currently in the second expansion phase and offers an upload speed of 128kbps and a download rate of up to 768kbps for private customers. The aim is to have completed the second phase by the end of the year in order to enable ADSL access in 220 local networks.
By the end of 2001, it should be available nationwide in Germany. In addition, Telekom plans to double the download rate from currently 768kbps to 1.5mbps. The point in time for the increase in speed is not yet known, but it would be enough for me if there were at least 'normal' ADSL in my region.
