T-Online even deeper in the red
T-Online announced today in Darmstadt that they are still in the red despite the rapid growth in sales and customers. Last year's loss amounted to 121.7 million euros, almost a quarter of a billion marks. According to T-Online, the number of customers increased by 70 percent to 7.9 million in Europe last year.
In Germany, 6.5 million people currently use T-Online as an Internet provider. Sales also rose by 86 percent to 797.2 million euros, or 1.56 billion marks. According to a statement by Thomas Holtrop, T-Online would like to set a 'clear focus on profitability' from now on. Some customers have already experienced this step first-hand with the discontinuation of the ISDN Flat rate. It is not yet known whether further changes will be made that will also affect the customer. For tomorrow the decision of the RegTP regarding the TDSL flat rate of T-Online is expected. So far, however, a positive decision for the end consumer has been assumed, according to which the RegTP will 'largely' approve the tariff. What 'largely' means will only be revealed tomorrow.
