T-DSL will start via satellite on May 1st

From May 1st it should finally be ready, T-DSL via satellite will then be available to all those who previously had to do without fast Internet access. The data is received via the Astra satellites, so that those who already have a satellite dish and have aligned it with the Astra satellites have met some of the necessary requirements.

Furthermore, a DVB card is required and, as is usual with internet via satellite, a normal internet connection for uploading data. However, the necessary hardware must be purchased yourself, so it is not part of the package offered. Telekom charges 99 euros as a provision fee. The monthly fee will be 19.90 euros with 500 MB of free transfer volume, each additional MB will be charged with 5 cents. Another hack is that the full T-DSL speed of 768 kbit/s is only guaranteed for the first 500 MB of data, priorities are set for further data transfer, and the download speed is automatically limited in the event of bottlenecks.
