Soon Chinese P4 processors

It is possible that the first Pentium 4 processors will come from China soon when the plant in Shanghai is completed by the end of the year. For the time being, around 1,200 people will find employment there, but in two years' time up to 3,000 people will be employed there.

The current P4 processors will be in the plant, in which Intel plans to invest 302 million dollars manufactured using the 0.13 micron technique. However, Intel's boss Craig Barrett is probably not that enthusiastic, as China is not exactly one of the countries with particularly well-developed industries. Nevertheless, the work has already cost Intel $ 198 million.
