Sony wants to increase PS2 sales
Sony has announced that it will increase production of the Playstation 2 by 11 percent to 20 million units in the current financial year. Sony has made a lot of plans in view of the tougher competition from Nintendo and Microsoft, whose game consoles are becoming increasingly popular.
In the USA, however, the popularity of the PS2 continues unabated, and the game console was also the best-selling in the important North American market. Meanwhile, Nintendo has to increase its production of the GameCube and want to bring 11 million cubes to gamers in the current financial year. Last but not least, Microsoft has also decided to sell 4 million Xbox consoles by the end of June, there are only two weeks left.
