SiS now officially with Hyper Threading Support
If you take a look at the official website of Silicon Integrated Systems, you can hardly miss the official announcement. It is called 'Hyper-Threading Chipset On The Road' and so there is finally an official confirmation as to which chipsets will have Hyper Threading in the future.
So there will be a B-Step for the following chipsets so that they support Hyper Threading: SiSR658, SiS648, SiS645DX, SiS651 and SiSM650. Thus, all important SiS chipsets for the Pentium4 from B-Step support Hyper Threading. It can be assumed that the mainboard manufacturers will bring corresponding boards onto the market and will also mark them prominently in order to differentiate them from the non-Hyper Threading-capable variants of the past. SiS does not name the chipsets that support Hyper Threading, to the amazement of some, the SiS655, which will have dual channel DDR333. However, this shouldn't be too much cause for concern, because although the chipset has already been officially announced , it is not yet in the product lists on the official SiS website. But it should also be equipped with Hyper Threading support when it is released.
