Second revision of the Accelero S1 is coming

The Swiss cooler manufacturer Arctic Cooling is launching the Accelero S1 Rev. 2, a new version of the passive VGA cooler. The cooler is now compatible with an even larger number of graphics cards, including the top sellers Radeon HD 3870, 3850, as well as GeForce 8800 GTS (G92) and 8800 GT.

The Accelero S1 Rev. 2 has a new, flexible fastening system which, thanks to the easily modifiable screw system, increases compatibility enormously. The cooler is now compatible with the following card series from ATi: Radeon HD 3870, 3850, 2600, 2400, X1950, X1900, X1800, X1650, X1600, X1550, X1300. The Nvidia cards of the GeForce 8800 GTS (G92), 8800 GT, 8600, 8500, 8400, 7950 GT, 7900, 7800, 7600, 7300, 6800, 6600 series are also suitable.

Accelero S1

Like the previous model ( ComputerBase-Test ), the Accelero S1 Rev. 2 can be equipped with the 'Turbo Module'. The frameless pair of fans increases the performance even further, while at the same time only producing very little noise. Above all, this should also offer overclockers a lot more potential to overclock their cards a little more.

The Accelero S1 Rev. 2 will be available from February 2008 and cost around 20 euros.
