Seagate with new hard drive technology

The hard drive manufacturer Seagate has presented a code optimized for speed for the Cheetah and Barracuda series, which have a 16 MB cache. This 'V' optimized code is intended to enable even higher performance by minimizing the throughput fluctuations at high data transfer rates, such as those that occur with digital video files.

Large uncompressed video files can be saved and saved better with the new method and can be edited. It is clear that this innovation is mainly intended to appeal to users who work professionally with large amounts of data such as digital videos. For this reason, Seagate plans to integrate the 'V' optimized code only in the high-end SCSI hard drives Cheetah 73, Cheetah 36LP and the new Barracuda 180, so private users will not benefit from the new process.
