SB Audigy Player vs. TerraTec SiXPack 5.1+ in the test: the eternal best still ahead?

Conclusion

For once, it is not too difficult for us to find an egg to choose unclear winners. Of course, both cards can be used in principle. In the end, however, the Audigy is ahead in all categories. Apart from the price, of course. However, it does not justify its € 40 surcharge with its better performance. The equipment with a FireWire controller as well as the good documentation and software make the price appear justified. The SiXPack is probably a bargain for those in the know who know how to eliminate sources of interference, who blindly set the jumpers correctly and who tend to watch DVDs rather than play games. For gamers and other normal people, it has to be said clearly, the Audigy is by far the better choice.

As always, our forum is responsible for questions.
