Samsung has sold over 166 km of memory modules

In November, Samsung sold more than 10 million high-speed double data rate DRAMs (128 and 256 Mbit types according to DDR333 and DDR400 standards) for the first time. Especially high-performance PCs and workstations have increased the demand for high-speed memories.

The memory chips are produced with structure sizes of 0.13 µm, in which the current Intel Pentium 4 or AMD Athlon XP processors are also manufactured. With the modules that Samsung sold last month, you could produce more than 1 million 256 MB memory bars, each consisting of 8 memory chips, which would result in a distance of 166 km when ridden together.
