Samsung extends Xbox storage contract

Samsung Semiconductors will continue to be the DDR SDRAM memory supplier for the Xbox in the future, as Samsung has just extended the contract with Microsoft for the supply of memory for the Xbox. In North America, Microsoft has sold around 1.5 million Xbox devices so far.

In Japan, the Xbox will only be available from February 22nd, and in Europe from March 14th, 2002. In total, Microsoft wants to have sold between 4 and 6 million devices by the end of June.
