Samsung brings notebook with Mobile Athlon 4
With its latest notebook A10, Samsung delivers good performance at a fair price. Inside the A10 notebooks, AMD CPUs up to the Athlon 4 1500+ work with a real processor clock of 1.3 GHz. The notebook has 256 MB RAM and up to 20 GB hard drive capacity.
The RAM can be up to 512 MB SDRAM can be upgraded. For the graphic implementation, the notebooks of the A10 series use the integrated VIA-Twister K graphics solution, which provides more than enough power for today's office programs with up to 32 MB of memory. The graphics memory works according to the shared memory principle and can be changed in the range from 8 to 16 or 32 MB. The results are shown in a maximum resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels on its 14.1 inch display. All notebooks use Microsoft's Windows XP Home Edition as the operating system.
The price for the entry-level model A10 dXT with 10 GB hard disk, CD-ROM drive and 128 MB RAM, as well as 1 GHz Duron is 1349 euros. For the A10 dXTD, on the other hand, you have to put 1599 euros on the table, but you get a Duron with 1.1 GHz, a hard drive that is twice as large, 256MB RAM, a DVD drive and a lithium-ion battery. In mobile operation, the lithium-ion battery has a battery life of around 2.5 hours. The top model of the A10 series, the A10 XTC, changes hands for 1849 euros and is powered by an Athlon 4 1500+ and a DVD/CD-RW combo drive.
