Rumors about the new Aldi PC

As has already been speculated, the new Aldi PC will be a 2 GHz Pentium 4 with 256 MB Samsung DDR RAM, a Geforce 4 MX 460 and an 80 GB hard drive. These are rumors as this is an adaptation of the package put together for the Austrian market, which may be different for the German market.

The 'Multimedia Internet Entertainment PC' is put together. called package from the well-known company Medion. A 24x/12x/40x CD burner from Sony is mentioned as additional equipment features, and the package also includes a 16-disc DVD, 56K modem, on-board LAN and a 5.1 sound chip. There are also plenty of interfaces to the outside world, for example three FireWire and four USB interfaces. The Austrian package includes a Works Suite and Nero 5 as a software bundle. Windows XP Home Edition is used as the operating system. Eight programs should also be included for video editing.
