Regulatory authority decides on flat rate market

The regulatory authority for telecommunications and post will decide tomorrow on the controversial Internet flat rate. The reason for this is the dispute between Telekom and the providers, who have to pay 1.5 pfennigs to Telekom for every online minute.

For this reason, other providers, apart from the Telekom subsidiary T-Online, do not possible to offer an internet flat rate without economic risks. This is why T-Online competitors are demanding that Telekom introduce an appropriate wholesale flat rate so that a flat rate offer does not turn into a losing business, as has been the case up to now.
