RegTP sets the price for the 'last mile'

The RegTP has decided that from April Telekom will only be allowed to charge the other telephone providers a price of 24.40 marks for the 'last mile'. That is a mark less than before. Telekom had demanded fees of 35 DM for the last mile from the RegTP.

In addition, the costs for switching and switching a customer to a competitor were reduced to 181 Marks and 74 Marks, respectively a change should no longer be hindered so much. Furthermore, Telekom must now enable all competitors to resell telephone services in the local network. The competitor's complaint that Telekom was dumping prices with its T-DSL tariff was rejected by RegTP, so that at least the RegTP did not have to change this tariff.
