RegTP is examining possible penalties against Telekom

The RegTP announced that they are reviewing possible penalties in connection with Telekom's 'delaying tactics' for DSL access. As it is said, check whether it is possible to incorporate contractual penalties in the event of non-compliance with delivery times in contracts between Telekom and its competitors.

This would make it much easier for competitors to enforce their rights. Furthermore, the RegTP is investigating an application to split the line into one area for telephony and one for data transmission, which would mean that competitors would only have to rent one part of the line and not the entire part. Unfortunately, so far you only hear from the RegTP that it is checking, but what has it achieved so far? Germany is still waiting for a wholesale flat rate!
