An interesting result was determined here. In OpenGL, the GeForce3 draws a much higher benefit from a higher CPU frequency than the PowerMagic Radeon 8500. Although they are head to head at the resolution of 800x600, the GeForce3 can get 5-6% more power out of the increased CPU frequency than the PowerMagic Radeon 8500. Apparently ATI still has some catching up to do in terms of OpenGL.
Even more glaring is the difference in the Max Detail Settings, there you can Again the Inno3D Tornado GeForce3 emerged as the clear winner. This time it can implement the increased CPU performance between 2.5% and 6.8% better than the PowerMagic Radeon 8500!
The GeForce3 emerges as the clear winner in the overall discipline, although the Radeon 8500 uses a little better the CPU performance under DirectX, but loses all the more clearly in this discipline in OpenGL. Finally, it should be said that a lot more benchmarks are needed to get an absolutely clear result.
