PNY is negotiating with Elsa
The future of the insolvent Elsa AG is still unclear. Even then, one had to admit that some of the graphics cards presented at CeBIT will probably never come onto the market from Elsa. The time for a sensible introduction of the GeForce4 MX models has already been missed.
New signs now suggest that Elsa will completely give up the consumer graphics card business. At the moment, the American manufacturer PNY is in negotiations with the bankruptcy administration of Elsa. PNY is currently developing a division for European business under the Verto brand. In order not to simply give up Elsa's jobs, PNY is planning to take on experienced and qualified employees. Whether the brand names 'Elsa' and 'Gladiac' will also be adopted is still open but not ruled out. As the exploratory talks have not yet been concluded, a decision is still pending. An official statement from PNY is expected in the next few days.
