Philips presents 5.1 speaker system with remote control
After Philips recently presented the Sonic Edge, an inexpensive 5.1 sound card, the A 5.600 Seismic Power 600 is now the right speaker system. The A 5.600 consists of five satellite speakers and a subwoofer in a wooden housing.
Up to three audio sources can be connected to the system at the same time. It should therefore represent an affordable and practical home entertainment solution for e.g. TV, MP3 player and PC. The satellites, which are also suitable for wall mounting, are each based on a 2.5 inch chassis. The bass reflex subwoofer with a 6.5 inch chassis pointing downwards ensures rich bass reproduction.
Via the cinch connections you can game consoles can also be connected directly to the A 5.600. A remote control with 17 buttons offers access to all important sound functions at the push of a button. In addition to the selection of up to three sound sources, it controls volume, faders as well as bass and treble. There is also the choice of sound settings for game, movie, music and flat digital as well as mute and standby functions.
The Philips A 5,600 Seismic Power 600 is now available for a price of around 150 euros available in the stores. For a good three weeks now, the Sonic Edge has a 5.1. Sound card available from the same manufacturer.
