Pentium III with 1.13 GHz is delayed
Intel has announced that the delivery of the Pentium III with 1.13 GHz will be delayed further. The chip should therefore only be delivered in the 2nd quarter of 2001, but then not only to OEM customers, but also immediately to specialist retailers for end customers.
Allegedly, the renewed delay is not due to another technical problem, they just want to ensure that the processor can be supplied in large and sufficient quantities. The Pentium 4 should still appear this year with clock frequencies of 1.4 and 1.5 GHz.
