Pentium 4 chipset SIS645DX overclockable by 133 MHz

Chip manufacturer SIS has announced an improved chipset for Pentium 4 processors, the SIS645DX. With it it is possible to set 533 MHz in addition to the standard clock of 400 MHz. The memory types PC133, DDR266 and DDR333 are also supported.

Up to 3 GB of main memory can be addressed by the SIS645DX. In addition, the SIS961 southbridge should be connected to the SIS645DX northbridge via the multithreaded I/O link bus technology, which should enable 533MByte/s internal data transfer. The SIS961 Southbridge also supports ATA33 to ATA133, AGP 2x to 4x, six USB 1.1 interfaces, six PCI slots, a 10/100 MBit LAN interface and 5.1 sound.
