Penalty against Microsoft by the European Commission?
The Wall Street Journal reports that Microsoft may soon face massive fines and may even be forced to remove some functions from their operating system.
The European Commission accuses Microsoft of obstructing its investigation have, so that the penalty will probably be particularly high. Since the commission is empowered to impose up to 10 percent of annual sales as a penalty, they could put Microsoft at $ 250 million. Microsoft does not want to comment on the allegations of the European Commission until November. The lawsuit continues to revolve around the abuse of Microsoft's market position in its market policy and the hindrance of other companies through their own features that are directly connected to the operating system.
