openSUSE Tumbleweed: Rolling Release receives new free desktop Xfce 4.16
The openSUSE Tumbleweed (test) , designed as a Rolling Release , will for the first time have access to the new free desktop environment Xfce 4.16 via its own repositories . In addition to the necessary packages, a first live image with the facelift is already available.

The modular desktop environment Xfce 4.16 for Unix and Unix-like operating systems such as distributions based on the Linux system kernel was the first new edition in around 16 months at Christmas 2020.
The successor to Xfce 4.14, which was released in August 2019, has been greatly upgraded both visually and functionally and can now be used with openSUSE Tumbleweed and directly fromwhose sources can be obtained. In addition to a consistent new icon set, additional themes and expanded color palettes, Fractional Scaling with HiDPI support ensures a modern and uniform appearance of the desktop.
