Off for Napster ?!
Due to a preliminary injunction imposed by a US federal court on the Napster MP3 swap exchange on Wednesday, Napster is no longer allowed to broker music files that are subject to copyright as of Friday. Napster wants to appeal immediately and relies on the fact that every citizen may, for example, reproduce films or pieces of music for their own use.
A final judgment is expected towards the end of the year. 1400 MP3's are copied every minute via Napster, which has caused the music industry to suffer damage of 300 million dollars.
