nVidia wants to prevent the leaking of drivers
Today nVidia announced in an announcement to all registered developers that they want to crack down on 'leaked' drivers in the future. Leakening means the unofficial publication of software that has come to the public through 'gaps'.
As a first step nVidia took the server off the network with driver pre-releases a few days ago, because too many leaks made the service a single download pool. We now excuse the long downtime, but point out the tightening of security and changes in the infrastructure. NVidia also criticizes the developers who had access to the servers, at least indirectly. In the future, stricter guidelines for the activation of authorized persons will be adhered to in order to deny access to dubious customers. However, it is doubtful whether this concept will prevail. After all, a black sheep is enough to put every driver leaked on the network, as usual.
