nVidia Quadro4 now also with 8xAGP
After the GeForce4MX (NV18) and GeForce4Ti (NV28), nVidia now also offers the Quadro4 (NV28GL) with the support of 8xAGP. This means that data-intensive OpenGL applications in particular should benefit from the higher bandwidth of the AGP bus.
nVidia is introducing 4 new graphics cards based on the NV28GL. The Quadro4 280 NVS, Quadro4 380 XGL, Quadro4 580 XGL and Quadro4 980 XGL have no technical differences to their 4xAGP counterparts except for the '80' in the name, which indicates the 8xAGP capability.
The new graphics cards from Leadtek and PNY Technologies. PNY is supplying the European market as a replacement for the previous Quadro producer ELSA.
