nVidia now also offers FreeBSD drivers

So far, nVidia has only made a name for itself in the market segment of open source operating systems under Linux. But now nVidia supports the relatively young FreeBSD project with its drivers and is now offering the first drivers for this operating system.

Since yesterday, version 1.0-3203 of a FreeBSD driver has been available on nVidia's homepage. The 3MB driver requires FreeBSD 4.7 as a minimum and supports all nVidia graphics cards including the complete Quadro series.

The driver is still declared as beta for the time being, but nVidia will continue to develop the driver and it will certainly do so A first final version will be available soon.
