nVidia graphics cards in Apple G4 models
In the new Apple Macintosh computers there will be no graphics card from ATi, but a graphics card based on nVidia chipsets. This means a bitter blow for ATi.
According to a press release, GeForce 2MX chipsets will be used on the graphics cards in the new Power Mac G4 line, which will then have 32 MB SDRAM. The G4 models will be available with clock speeds of 466, 533, 667 and 733 MHz. An ATI Rage128 Pro graphics card works only in the smallest model, the remaining 3 models are equipped with nVidia graphics cards.
